Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum

Commissioned in 1943, the USS Yorktown (CV 10) was the tenth aircraft carrier to serve in the United States Navy. After decades of distinguished service, the ship was decommissioned and placed in reserve before being towed to Charleston, South Carolina, where it became the centerpiece of Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum.

Today, the Ponsford LTD team continues the ongoing restoration of the aircraft displayed on the USS Yorktown’s flight deck, ranging from World War II era fighters to modern military aircraft, preserving both their history and their craftsmanship for future generations.
